Corridor

Hungary ⇄ China

Hungary and China are where we go deepest: a Hungarian law firm in Budapest with more than fifteen years of experience in China-related matters, and our own office in Shanghai with a team on the ground. We help Hungarian and European companies with matters in China, and Chinese companies with matters in Hungary.

Hungary combines access to the EU single market with a strong industrial base, Central European reach and a long-standing commercial relationship with China. For Chinese investors it can be a practical first European base; for Hungarian and wider European businesses, the same corridor provides a structured route into China and a way to resolve China-related problems. It is our deepest corridor, and the same model covers any of the 98 countries in our network.

China to Hungary and the EU

We connect market-entry analysis, site and partner selection, government relations, incentive navigation, company establishment, immigration, accounting, staffing, construction and continuing legal operations, including through our Hungary in a Box package. Registration is the easy part; the goal is an operating model that keeps working afterwards.

Hungary and Europe to China

We support market and partner research, supplier due diligence, contracts designed for local enforcement, intellectual-property protection, company establishment, commercial disputes and debt recovery. In China, our own Shanghai office works with PRC-qualified partner lawyers. On the Hungarian side, the MKIK China Desk – Operated by Cathay Partners is the first stop for companies that do not yet have a China question well enough defined to brief a lawyer.

You work with one contact person who keeps commercial decisions, legal implementation and local specialists together, in Hungary and in China. Each service below starts as a defined engagement with a written scope and a fee agreed in writing before work starts; none requires an open-ended commitment.
