Hungary in a Box is the Hungary edition of our Country in a Box program: the same team runs the equivalent package in India, and the same approach is available for company set-up in any of the other markets our network reaches.
What makes this a single project rather than a list of separate services is sequencing: the entity, the tax numbers, the bank account, the accountant and the permits for the people you send all depend on each other, and someone has to own the order they happen in.
When the time comes to add a second country, whether that is India or another market inside our network of 98 countries, you are not starting from zero: the same team already knows your group and how you like to work.
Fees
First-year package (Kft., private-individual founders, Basic accounting tier)
- Kft. incorporation, all inclusive: EUR 750
- Company Gate (Cégkapu) and Chamber of Commerce registration: EUR 250
- Bank account opening assistance: EUR 250
- Virtual office service, 12 months: EUR 900
- First-year accounting and tax compliance (12 monthly Basic fees plus a year-end closing): EUR 3,250
- Example total: EUR 5,400 plus VAT
- First-year package clients get a preferential legal hourly rate of EUR 100
- The consular signature-certification fee, where signing takes place at the Hungarian consulate, is paid by the client directly on site
- Registered capital (minimum HUF 3,000,000) is the company's own working capital, not a fee, and is not due until the end of the second full financial year
Fees exclude VAT (27% where applicable); third-party costs are passed through at cost; valid from September 2026.
FAQ
Do I have to travel to Hungary?
Usually not for the setup itself. Signing can be done in person at our Budapest or Shanghai office, at the Hungarian consulate, or on a notarised power of attorney prepared in your own country; a private-individual founder needs no notarisation or apostille for the incorporation itself. You will need to appear in person for parts of the bank account process at most banks. We tell you in advance exactly which step that is, so one trip covers it.
What if we only want part of this?
Then take the part. Every element here is also a standalone service. The package exists because the sequencing is where most of the delay comes from, not because the pieces cannot be bought separately.
Who actually does the work?
Hungarian-qualified lawyers and accountants in our network, working with a Chinese-speaking colleague if you need one. You work with one contact person: we assign the right lawyer to your matter and coordinate the legal, tax and accounting work, so you do not have to find separate providers and hold the project together yourself. Nothing is subcontracted to a party you have not been told about.
What if we later expand to another country?
This project stands on its own. When you are ready to set up elsewhere, the same approach is available across our network of 98 countries, including through India in a Box and our company set-up service for other network countries.
